A beautiful day

It's funny to see that the pictures of yesterday's outfit turned out pretty well, even though we literally took them in less than five minutes. I was in a huge hurry and I had to change clothes in the car, but luckily I managed to take these pictures AND to be on time on my appointment, looking more or less representative. I wore this black skirt for the first time and I know for sure I'll wear it more often in the future. Its length is perfect, and the crochet floral embroidery on it is beyond amazing, if you ask me. Moreover, black skirts are always a good choice since they are so versatile. They are appropriate for almost any occasion and it's easy to create looks in different styles with them.

I combined the skirt with a silver grey long-sleeved top of Esprit. The funny thing is that I ordered it on Sans-Online the afternoon before and it was already delivered before I left home the morning after at 10 AM. Talk about speed! Those are my kind of webshops, I really dislike waiting for a long time until something is delivered. Sounds like I'm a bit impatient, no? ;-)

Nude, black and bright blue

I am not going to write much in this post since I believe the pictures speak for themselves. That is, this perfect dress does not need further explanation. The only thing I want to mention is that it was not possible - even though the dress is a beauty in itself - to create a stunning look without the help of my black pumps, favorite Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses and Tommy Hilfiger purse. Enjoy your Sunday night, people!

A touch of orange

When I received this bright orange shawl the other day, I immediately knew I'd use it to decorate an all-black outfit. Wearing it in this way makes the color pop out even more - which I think is cool - and on top of that, it gives a business outfit a little playful touch. Don't get me wrong, I don't think there's anything wrong with wearing an outfit thats black from jacket to pumps, but sometimes you just feel like adding some color, and this happened to me today. And for those interested: if you spend more than 50 euros on Kenzaa you can get a shawl of choice for free! I've been told that they just have all types of new items in, so it's probably worth to take a look. Enjoy your Monday evening, xoxoxox

The Village

There won't be many pictures in today's blogpost, I just want to share a little story with you guys. A story about my shopping experience in Maasmechelen Village, to be precise. As I wrote in a blogpost a while back, Maasmechelen Village is one of the collection of Chic Outlet Shopping Villages (others are for example in Milano, Paris and London) and I was invited to go there and have a luxury shopping experience. It took me a couple of hours to get there, but the long travel time was more than worth it (which says a lot, since I'm a very active person and I even don't like sitting quietly for only 30 minutes haha). Anyway, when the taxi dropped me off at the offices, I got a warm welcome and my shopping experience started. I was impressed by the village, since there were so many amazing stores (Michael Kors, Sandro, Nike, Hugo Boss, Furla, to name a couple of my favorites..) and I was really thankful that I got the opportunity to buy amazing items and enjoy the lovely food that the the best restaurants of the village had to offer.. If you ever go there, you need to lunch at Gastronomia Cellini too! I promise I'll show you some of my purchases in future outfitposts (helloooo gorgeous boots and bag), so stay tuned, babes.

A huge thanks to Simply PR and Valerie Defraye for this opportunity.

Fashionably functional

This is the casual look that I decided to wear for our Sunday morning walk in the middle of nature (with running shoes instead of these pretty boots, for obvious reasons). I always love the huge chunky knit + shorts combo to create this type of outfits. Not only because it looks fashionable in a very nonchalant way, but also because it's a functional combination. I prefer wearing shorts instead of long trousers and because my legs doesn't get cold that quickly, I just put a knitted cardigan on to avoid me from catching a cold when the temperature drops. However, protection against the cold wasn't needed at that day, so the reason why I put this cardigan on for the walk was the first one I mentioned. ;-)

In my opinion, shoes can make or break an outfit. If you find a pair of shoes that are high-quality and look stunning, it's easy to create a look that's chic and fashionable, even though in fact the outfit is nothing more than a simple pair of jeans and a basic top. Like I mentioned in the previous post, I was lucky enough to find such a pair of wonderful sandals the other day, and I decided to style them with a simple skirt and basic crop top last Saturday. Mmm, maybe the skirt isn't THAT simple since it's very unique because of it's unusual shape, but I think I made my point about having a pair of shoes that are the chic basis of any outfit.. Enjoy your day, people! :-)

Beach part II

When it's summer, I'm spending much time at the beach. I hike or skate through the dunes, I swim in the sea, I walk along the coastline in my bikini, I have drinks with friends in beach pavilions or simply on the sand.. Like I wrote in the previous post, there's no place like the beach, and I can't get enough of being there. I love feeling the wind in my hair, the salty air, and the magical atmosphere. Have a nice start of your week, people. Hopefully you like the new beach-look!

The festival look

Shorts with fringes on both sides + biker boots + leather jacket = The perfect combination when you want to create a festival look. I had never been to a festival before and it was actually a spontaneous decision to visit this one yesterday evening, but I had a lot of fun! The expression on my face when playing my 'air guitar' in the last picture is more than enough to prove it, I assume... ;-)

Shorts that look like a skirt? You can call them unusual (or even crazy), but I think they are utterly cool. Especially when they have such an eyecatching color as these ones. What do u think?

Queen of my castle

As we speak, I'm still not recovered from my wisdomteeth surgery last week but luckily I found these outfitpictures in the top-secret chamber of the Theonlyfashionprincess-castle.. ;-) We made them a little while ago, before the sunny weather started (but when the temperature was pretty nice though). I think the combination of shorts and boots has the potential to look really great if styled properly and moreover they are the basics if you want to create an extraordinary comfortable outfit that still looks fashionable and polished. You've probably seen these boots on the blog before (if not, you can see the rock chic look I created with them here), and when I look at the pictures over and over again, I realize that they would be so so so cool to wear to a festival or theme park or such. I already imagine me wearing them with bleached and ripped cut-off denims,  and a simple white cropped top and some stunning sunnies. Let the summer (with all it's amazing activities) begin!

Happy colors

Is there anything better than the feeling that you get when you're able to wear shorts outside for the first time of the year?! OK, probably there are a lot things better (otherwise my life would be a little superficial haha), but it felt really really great to take pictures while being bare-legged. I wore a quite colorful outfit for the occasion, which consisted of neon yellow shorts, a bright blue sweater, and polka dot sneakersI decided to wear a minimal amount of accessoiries, but I think it was just enough to complete the look!
