Colors of autumn

It took a long time, but it's finally happened: my Guess ankle boots' first time on the blog! This probably sounds like a mother talking about her just born baby, but: aren't they adoooorable (and hot)? I paired them with a burgundy turtleneck sweater that I found in the men's section of H&M last year, and an ivory lace dress (to give the tough sweater a cute look). The knit is perfect for cold days, and I really like its color for fall. It reminds me of long walks in the woods, when looking at the leaves that are falling from the trees and little squirrels that are searching for a hole.. Autumn is quite cozy, if you ask me ;)

Light vs dark

I wore this outfit on an extremely busy day last week, so we had just a couple of.. seconds.. to take pictures of the look after the photographer of the national newspaper left my home. I haven't access to Instagram on my phone yet (I'm still in insta-rehab, if I might say so..) but when I've got a new phone I promise that the first thing I'll do is uploading the picture that he made. It's not my best photo ever, but it's not the photographers fault that I was tired like hell that day haha. Anyway, about the look: I combined soft/light shades (top, bag, pumps) with black (dress, tights), because I think that's the best reflection of the current weather. I'm aware of the fact that this might sound pretty weird but I just refer to the continuous change from rain (dark) to sun (light). However, you don't here me complain: a minute of sunshine is better than no sunshine, if you ask me.

Whispering voices

I choose to wear an all-black outfit even though the weather was pretty good today. I really love lace, so I was delighted to wear this top again. I paired it with black pants and pointy wedges. In my opinion, this outfit is nice to wear at different occasions. It's chic, a little mysterious, and fashionable at the same time. And the best thing is: the clothes go perfectly with my new D&G sunglasses! What do you think of them? They are stunners, no?! :)

Masculine

Outfits inspired on menswear does have the potential to look feminine and elegant too, so I decided to give it a try last Monday. I paired my DIY ripped jeans with a simple white tshirt, a black blazer, black pumps, and used only a statement necklace and a black hat as accessoiries. The look is probably more masculine than you expect from me, but I hope you still like it! :)

What to wear when the temperature drops? Sweaters! This purple one is very supple and thin, which makes it perfect for the cold days in September (I refuse to wear heavy knits when it's technically still summer). I paired it with my beloved black lace shorts, that actually go with every top in my closet, and suede sandals, that are almost stuck at my feet because I wear them so much. It's not that I don't have other options in terms of footwear, but they are so so so pretty ánd they are the most comfortable heels I've ever worn. If wearing heels 24/7 wasn't that bad for your feet, I probably would use them as slippers at home too haha!

The Flower Show

I had some problems with the editing of the pictures before they were ready to show on the blog (main problem: the editing programme was deleted from my laptop and I needed it so badly because I looked like a carrot.. I guess there was a problem with the settings of the camera, because some pictures turned out orange), but here they are! I still really like the 'pattern madness' trend, so I wore a combination of two different flower prints today. I had to get used to wearing tights and I really miss going bare-legged outside, but I was satisfied with the result of the look though. What's your opinion, guys?

I already miss ya, summer

Of course I hope I'm wrong, but this is probably the last summer-outfit that you'll see on the blog for a little while. The weather has turned from sunny to wet and cold, so unfortunately it isn't possible to go bare-legged outside anymore. Anyway, every negative thing has a positive aspect too, and in this case the positive aspect is definitely the shopping! Like I mentioned before, I sold a huge part of my clothes/shoes, so it's time to refresh my wardrobe. I'm not sure about my winter look yet, but I'm thinking about it and I can't wait to buy new skirts, a new coat, dresses, underwear, sleepwear, knits, shoes, and go on..... ;-)

Heritage Day

It has been a while since I showed my self-made skirt on the blog for the first time, but here it is again! As you probably notice, I challenge myself to wear my favorite summer items over and over again in different outfits lately (this time: tshirt, bag, sandals). It's a great way to test your creativity, if you ask me. I wore this outfit last weekend on Heritage Day. Some people probably believe that the skirt is a little 'too much' for day time, but I think it's perfect for visiting monuments on a sunny day. :-)

Colors in September

Sun and high temperatures in September: it feels like a dream for a Dutch girl like me, but it's reality and I'm so happy with it! To celebrate this "indian summer" I decided to wear colorful clothes today. I paired them with my beloved black wedges and bag, and chose to wear just one bracelet. As you can see in the third picture, it's beautiful and elegant and, if you ask me, it looks pretty expensive too. However.... if you want to amaze yourself, look at the price of this jewel here. Amazing, right?
