Blue blood

While I'm writing this, I'm sitting at the balcony of our hotel room with the most breathtakig view I've ever had. Because I don't have much time right now, this post includes a look that I wore before I left Holland. I'll show you my Greece-looks in the upcoming posts! Moreover, if you want to see more about my Greek adventures right now, follow me on instagram (@theonlyfashionprincess).

Little black dress

After a beautiful opening ceremony the Olympics finally have begun. I'm leaving to Greece this evening so I'm not going to watch everything in the first week, but I'll try to see as much as time allows in the second week. I received the dress you can see below a couple of weeks ago and I was planning to wear it for the first time in Greece. However, plans are to be changed (not true in all situations) and I decided the little black dress was so much more appropriate in combination with a chic cream-colored clutch and my beloved black pumps you've probably seen before on the blog, than it was in combination with wavy beach hair and flat sandals (and probably a bikini underneath).

Mint and leather

We took these pictures when we went to one of our favorite parks in the near environment last week. I wore a mint-colored shirt and black leather shorts. It's probably not the kind of outfit that you expect during summer, but these pictures where taken before the warm weather started. The leather shorts are made of recycled leather, and I love the fact they're a great match with my leather booties.

Have a wonderful weekend my darlings xoxo

Red and white stripes

Looking back to previous posts makes me realize that I don't wear striped clothes that often. It's not that I don't like stripes, it's just that - for some unknown reason - I don't own a lot of striped items. Anyway, I recently rediscovered this skirt in my closet and I decided to wear it last weekend. To create a clean look I used white nailpolish, which is actually no more than one shade of my french manicure set. It's the first time I tried white nails and I can tell you I don't want my nails to be another color anymore (that's a slight exaggeration, but I'm sure you'll understand my point of view). I always thought it would look scary (no judgement about my kind of strange ideas about the world please, haha) but nothing is less truth. Soooo.. if you've got any recommendations about a brand that sells a long-lasting white nailpolish, please tell me. :)

DIY asymmetric skirt

The weather has completely changed, and I'm so happy with this heat. I'm finally able to wear my summer clothes again, yay! This is the outfit I wore yesterday. I made the asymmetrical skirt myself, and paired it with a white cut-out tshirt, black pointy wedges and burgundy belt and bag.

Have a nice week, everyone! :) XOXO

The Victorian blouse

Even though someone labeled this blouse "pirate-like", I still think it reflects the Victorian age more than it reflects Captain Hook's daily garb. The Victorian age has always been very fascinating to me: from their purity to their prosperity and self-satisfaction, from their architecture to their clothing. This blouse is definitely the reflection of decency (due to it's color, high neck and lace details) and it's perfect to wear for many different occasions.

This is what I've been up to lately. If you're already following me on instagram, you might have seen these pictures before. However, I hope you still like this peek into my life. ;-)

Flowers in the darkness

I already showed these leather heels with their gorgeous suede heels in an outfitpost last week (here), but I think they deserve some extra words of praise in this post. The reason for that is: they are the most versatile pumps ever. They're appropriate for almost any occasion (and I use the word "almost" because high heels probably wouldn't be your first choice in the activity of hiking or something like that) and complement every outfit. I chose to wear them with a floral skirt and black top last weekend. To create a really clean and fresh look, I used no accessoiries except for the DIY oversized clutch and the Prada sunglasses. So no excess of colors or lots of different jewelry; today it's just me, some basic items, and my gorgeous black shoes.

Flowery

The current weather in Holland doesn't allow me to wear a bikini outside (it's all about rain and thunderstorms lately), but I'm sure this beauty will be of great use when I go to Greece within a couple of weeks!

Boating in peplum and lace

This is what I wore yesterday. It was the first time I took my new pumps outside. I really love the combination of the├Čr leather upper and the chunky suede heel. It gives the perfect elegant look. The peplum top with the lace sleeves is also a new addition to my wardrobe. I paired it with the light-washed jeans that I wore on the blog before (here), and I used a minimal amount of jewelry to accessorize the outfit.

Wish you all a wonderful Monday, darlings! :)
