Neutral colors

Sometimes, items that you own for a while are the best choice when putting an outfit together. This long cardigan has been in my closet for two years now and it's perfect to layer up when the weather becomes colder. It feels like I already wore it a hundred times and people are still asking me whether it's a new purchase. I guess it's because of its neutral color. I decided to pair it with a lace dress and off-white bag, to avoid the I-always-wear-dark-clothes-when-it's-raining-outside look.

To be honest, that wasn't the true reason (haha). I don't have any problems with wearing dark clothes during fall and winter, because I think it looks amazingly chic. The real reason that I chose to combine the kaki cardigan with the off-white dress and bag is actually very innocent: I simply felt like the combination of these colors was perfect that day. Dressing up is all about listening to your heart, isn't it? My heart also told me not to wear an overload of jewelry, and - for no specific reason - I only wear earrings the last couple of days. I can't get enough of little diamond stud earrings, and my collection of them seems to grow bigger and bigger, especially now I discoverd My Jewelry Box.
